It turns out that while he was paying attention to his high blood pressure, he didn’t notice that his testosterone was low.
His doctor wasn’t surprised.
“I see this sort of thing all the time,” his doctor said, “the moment he mentioned his lost sex drive, I ordered the testosterone workup.”
Studies are finding that those with higher blood pressure are more likely to also have lower testosterone.
Now, low testosterone has not been shown to be a cause of higher blood pressure.
And they aren’t sure yet why there is a relationship between high blood pressure and low testosterone.
But they have seen that many of the things that will help with lower blood pressure will also help to improve your testosterone levels.
