Nearly everyone has heard of a hotel deal site that offers great prices on “hundreds of hotels.”
These are aggregators where hotels will offer slashed prices exclusive to a particular site in order to try to prevent empty rooms.
Aggregator sites are sites like Kayak ® or Priceline ® and these can be a great resource for rock bottom prices on a room.
If you have a rewards program with a particular hotel, you should check on the aggregators first.
And then you call your preferred hotel chain and give them the quoted price, they will often match the price at the desk.
