Practice safe sex and use condoms.
What does this have to do with cancer?
The human papillomavirus (HPV) does not just affect women.
While better known for causing cervical cancer, it is also a verified cause of throat cancer, and penile, and anal cancer.
The only ways to avoid exposure to HPV completely is to either abstain from sex completely (no fun!) or use condoms.
If you’re in a long-term monogamous relationship where both partners have passed screenings for HPV, then you use your best judgment when it comes to playing without protection.
